Hypnotic Strategies to Help Patients Achieve Their Goals
By Arnoldo Téllez, PhD
Wednesday, December 20, 2023
17:00 - 20:00 CET
Abstract:
Due to their well-developed frontal lobes, human beings can set, pursue, and achieve goals, but not all of them take advantage of it.
Unconscious goal achievement occurs when no executive control system monitors goal-seeking behavior actively. Evidence shows that setting, pursuing, and achieving goals can happen non-consciously.
It could happen when we visualize and imagine ourselves achieving a goal frequently; this information is transmitted to unconscious storage. Therefore, we can use hypnosis to help our clients set and increase the likelihood of achieving their own goals and drive the individual to act unconsciously toward the aim.
Objectives:
The participants will learn and experience beneficial hypnotic strategies to increase the probability of achieving their goals using Active-alert hypnosis and sleep-like hypnosis techniques to produce a hypnotic age progression phenomenon.
