Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph. D., a renowned expert in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, is the Founding Director of the Milton Erickson Foundation. He organizes some of the most significant psychotherapy congresses worldwide, including The Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference, the Brief Therapy Conference, the Couples Conference, and the International Congress on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Zeig is on the Editorial Board of numerous journals, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 29, Psychotherapy), and a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Dr. Zeig is an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Arizona State University (1988-1992).
Dr Zeig has edited, co-edited, authored, or coauthored more than 20 books on psychotherapy that appear in fourteen foreign languages.

Utilization is Milton Erickson’s essential contribution to hypnosis and psychotherapy. Utilization entails the acceptance and creative use of any existent pattern—behavioral, cognitive, emotional, social—be it cooperative or "resistant" -- as a foundation for achieving a therapeutic outcome.
Dr, Zeig will elaborate the principle of utilization though lecture, demonstration and small group exercise.
