Successful hypnotherapeutic support for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
By Stella Nkenke
Wednesday, February 21, 2024
17:00 - 20:00 CET
Abstract
CRPS pain syndrome often presents both the patient and the practitioner with a challenging situation. The patient often encounters unsatisfactory offers in conventional medicine; the doctor and therapist are confronted with a suffering and insecure patient. To better understand the therapy suggestions, it is essential to first
understand the complex clinical picture of CRPS, the classic symptoms, and the resulting problems of the patient.
As conventional medical treatment cannot reliably prevent chronic pain and restricted movement, hypnotherapy is beneficial here. This supports the improvement of motor movement restrictions and the handling of this often frightening syndrome. Different hypnotherapeutic interventions and trances will be presented using case studies. The aim of the workshop is for each participant to be able to use the strategies presented to support patients with CRPS effectively.
